Imani Edwards, a proud Cleveland, Ohio native, began her career on Capitol Hill, serving Ohio’s 11th congressional district in the office of Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge. Following her time on Capitol Hill, she joined the Biden-Harris Administration at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), where she played a key role in a national initiative promoting homeownership for adults aged 18-40 and supported strategic efforts to advance HUD’s priorities.
In 2024, Imani joined Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP as Director of Public Affairs. She collaborates with a multidisciplinary government relations team, representing diverse clients across federal, state, and local levels. Her work focuses on building private-public partnerships and advancing initiatives in education, nonprofit and government sectors.
Beyond her professional career, Imani serves on the national board of directors for YWCA USA, a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering women. She also sits on the board of directors for the Ohio University Alumni Association, where she strengthens connections among students, campus partners, and over 275,000 alumni.
Imani is deeply passionate about fostering equity through impactful policy, strategic partnerships, and expanding opportunities for underserved communities.
